Spotlight shines on hometown drivers at Carteret County Speedway on Saturday

SWANSBORO, NC – With just three races remaining on the 2025 regular season at Bobby Watson’s Carteret County Speedway, most of the track’s local divisions will race under the bright lights in the Coldan Services Fall Brawl.

V8 Chargers, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, U-CARs, Bombers, and Jr. Mini Cups will all be in action on Saturday.  For some of the divisions, Saturday will mark the penultimate race in their chase for the 2026 track championship.

Rusty Daniels has dominated in the Charger division, winning every single race so far in 2025.  With two races remaining, he has a 10 point lead over Gator Williams and an 11 point gap on Gerald Benton.  The maximum number of points a driver can get in an individual race is 10.  A win on Saturday could clinch the division championship for Daniels, with the final race for the Chargers taking place in the Bobby Watson Memorial/Night of Champions on Saturday, October 11.

Sammy Pacitti holds an eight point lead over T.J. Medeiros in the Down East Homes Bomber division.  Pacitti has won nine races in 2025, while Medeiros is chasing his first career win.  Juan Mejia sits third in points, mathematically out of contention for the championship.  The division championship will be decided on Saturday, October 25.

The most riveting points battle is in the Battlefield Tire Pros Mini Stock division, where Abby Jolly holds a two-point advantage over her husband, Zac Reimer.  Cornell Williams is third in points, six points behind Jolly.  The Mini Stock champion will be crowned on Saturday, October 11.

Mitchell Kerstetter has a five point advantage over Haiden Thomas in U-CAR.  Maci Stancill has a 14 point gap over Liam McCallister in Jr. Mini Cup.  Both the U-CAR and Jr. Mini Cup championships will be decided on Saturday, October 25.

With 11 wins on the season and an 18 point advantage with just one race remaining on October 11, Scotty Benford has mathematically clinched his third consecutive Legend Car division championship.

Saturday’s Coldan Services Fall Brawl features racing for the Chargers, Bombers, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, U-CARs, and Jr. Mini Cups.  The kids Juice Box races will take place at intermission.  Meet and greet will take place on the frontstretch at 5pm and is open to all spectators, and the green flag will wave at 6pm.
