PELETIER, NC – Sammy Pacitti was able to beat Mother Nature and get to victory lane before rain and lightning ultimately cut Saturday night’s Moore’s Old-Tyme Barbeque School’s Out 150 short at Bobby Watson’s Carteret County Speedway.

Pacitti was one of four drivers to win races before severe weather ultimately ended the racing program.  The Down East Homes Bombers took to the track shortly after the first rain delay came to an end, and Pacitti had to hold off a fierce challenge from T.J. Medeiros.

“It was a little sketchy,” Pacitti said.  “The track was still a little wet.  I just want to thank all the fans for sticking it out in the rain and like to give a shout out to my buddy Albert Stout down there in the Sunshine State.  It was his birthday.  I have a rear wheel drive and T.J. has a front wheel drive.  The front-wheel drive, they were better tonight.”

The Bomber B-main was set to go green when more rain settled in, ultimately ending the action.

Trace Raynor held off Abby Jolly to win in the Battlefield Tire Pro Mini Stock feature.  Ricky Heigl, Sr. put an end to Haiden Masterson-Thomas’ winning streak in U-CAR.  In Jr. Mini Cup, Liam McCallister scored the win in his first career start.

Bobby Watson’s Carteret County Speedway will roar back into action on Saturday, June 21 with the New River Harley Davidson Shootout by the Sea presented by B&S Body Shop.
