Jeremy Mayfield, a former NASCAR driver with over 400 races under his belt and five wins in the premier Cup Series, has joined forces with Carteret Speedway, also known as “America’s Nicest Short Track.” With over 30 years in the motorsports industry, Mayfield brings valuable knowledge and expertise to the track.
In his new role at Carteret Speedway, Mayfield will be responsible for various aspects of the track’s operations including competition, marketing, and community partnerships. Mayfield said, “I grew up racing at short tracks so Carteret feels like home to me. I’m looking forward to working alongside Bob Lowery and the great team he already has in place to help elevate an already exciting racing program.”
Fans can still look forward to seeing Jeremy Mayfield behind the wheel this season. He will run full-time in the Grand National Super Series and hopes to race at some local short tracks throughout the year as well.
