Carteret County Speedway schedule released

SWANSBORO, NC – Bobby Watson’s Carteret County Speedway is ready to roar to life for the 11^th consecutive season with an action-packed schedule.

The 2026 racing season will get underway on Saturday, April 11 with the Spring Carnage Day of Destruction.  Two weeks later, on Saturday, April 26, the racing season will get underway with every points division in action – including Street Stock, Mini Stock, U-CAR, Bomber, Legend Car, and Jr. Mini Cup.

In total, there will be 12 races, with other dates including May 9, May 24, June 6, June 20, July 4, July 18, August 1, August 22, September 5, September 19, and September 26.  The season will conclude with the Halloween Bash Night of Destruction on Saturday, October 24.

Additional special events are scheduled, with Audio Wars on February 21, the Croatan Buck Fifty bike race on March 21, the Carteret Pow Wow on May 16, the Jeffrey Earnhardt Racing Experience on June 13 and August 8, Monster Trucks on August 15, and the Great Christmas Holiday Laser Show on November 27-29 and December 4-6.

Races on Memorial Day Weekend and on Independence Day, which is part of the United States Semiquincentennial celebration, will feature Limited Late Models.  Chargers will also return with a limited schedule, racing on May 9, June 20, and August 22.

The SMART Modified Tour will headline the Carteret Clash on Labor Day Weekend, while the brand-new Legends Showdown Series will have races on June 6 and September 19.

Other tours visiting Carteret County Speedway in 2026 include the Southern Ground Pounders Vintage Racing Club, the East Coast Flathead Ford Racing Association, the Allison Legacy Race Series, the Virginia Vintage Racers, and the upstart Vintage Racing League (VRL).
