Davey Allison Memorial Thrills a Packed House

Beautiful weather and a great crowd were at Bobby Watson’s Carteret Speedway for the Annual Davey Allison Memorial. The Allison Legacy Series made a stop at the speedway with NASCAR Donnie Allison and his wife Pat. Donnie met with fans, signed autographs, and took pictures.

The Grand National Super Series ran for the first time ever and A.J. Henrikson won the first

feature over ARCA Legend Bob Schacht and Mark Jones took third.

Legends Heat races followed to set the field for a 50 lap feature race. Austin Thompson capped off a great night by winning over Brenton Irving and Joel Smith.

The Junior Mini Cups was a race we have seen many times this year as Michael Bivens won over Colby Gurganus and Alexis Steffan.

The Allison Legacy Series ran two feature races. In the first feature, Ethan Elder edged Justin Oplinger and Ethan Glenn for the win. In the second feature, Justin Oplinger came out on top over David Smith and Easton Brewer.

The second Grand National Super Series was won by A. J. Henrikson over Kevin Kromer and Bob Schacht in third.

Again, thank you to everyone in the Allison Legacy Series and to Donnie and Pat for a great

night.

The next event will be on Saturday, August 27th. It is Kids Night, there will be an Enduro Race.

The Chargers will run for $1000 to the winner and there will be Mini Stock Twins.
